Craig Litwin

A seasoned community relations consultant, Craig brings over 30 years of experience to the field.

Starting out the gate to adulthood as an activist for local "food-shed" programs, Craig went on to become a Sebastopol Council Member and Mayor, leading the way on regenerative and sustainability efforts. He has worked in and on nonprofit development since he graduated Analy High School in 1994, serving on numerous non profits as a member of the staff or board over the years. These include Sebastopol World Friends, Sonoma County Conservation Action, and he served as the Secretary for the California Blacksmithing Association.

Craig was recently a founding board member of the very successful Sebastopol West 100, a giving cirle that raised and gave away $295k in its inaugural year of 2025 to eight area non profits via a membership vote on grant awards. He serves as their Development Director in their goal to raise and give away $600k in 2026.

Craig is a current member of the Sebastopol Grange #306 and serves as Lecturer, and the Kiwanis Club of Sebastopol where he served as a former President. He most recently was brought on by the Sebastopol Grange to develop their Capital Improvement Campaign, and successfully launched a fundraising appeal over the 2025 holidays.

Craig’s talent for designing and implementing sound policy—and skillfully engaging policymakers, community leaders, businesses, and citizens—makes him a strong ally. A champion of permaculture, Craig holds a BA in Ecology with an emphasis in Sustainability.

In his free time, Craig can be found outdoors with his friends and family farming, fishing, and enjoying nature by forest bathing (walking through the forest for health, or Shinrin-yoku). He is a talented baker, specializing in sourdough bagels and breads.
